Engagement Information and Terms

Welcome

Thank you for trusting me to help on your leadership journey. This page will set your expectations and establishes the terms of the engagement.

Objective

In our initial consultation, we will discuss what your objectives are. Some clients also receive a proposal that outlines what I understand to be your objectives.

Still, that proposal is just a rough guide to ensure we’re on the same page. Please alert me any time if you feel your objectives change or you feel they aren’t being met.

I treat guidance as a client-driven process. Each session’s agenda will be driven by you, your needs, and your current events.

Sessions

Sessions are on Zoom or Teams at your choice except by other arrangement.

You can find my Zoom room at meeting ID: 206-779-7370. This is also my cell phone number in case of technical difficulties. Text is best, but a call is fine if needed.

I encourage you to come in to each session with topics you wish to address. The meeting scheduling tool has a place to let me know those topics in advance. I encourage you to use that to make the best use of your time.

Sessions are one-hour long, and typically not prorated.

Confidentiality

Everything we discuss in your sessions is confidential.

Even so, I strongly urge you to not share with me documents or work products that are confidential to you or your business. If you do so, they will be held in confidence and returned or destroyed at the end of the engagement upon your request.

Scheduling

You can schedule sessions at your convenience through Calendly. That link is https://calendly.com/clwill/session.

I offer a broad range of time to clients, often seven days a week. You can schedule sessions as far as 60 days in advance.

Most clients are on a recurring schedule, every two or four weeks. Those meetings are agreed times, if you (or I) have a conflict we’ll simply work it out.

Change or cancellation at least 24 hours in advance is appreciated.

Urgent

If you need to schedule a session outside the available window or on very short notice, please email or text me (see below) and we can probably make that happen.

If you have a truly urgent situation, it probably needs more local assistance such as your HR or Legal resources. But if you feel you need to reach me, see “contact” below.

Late or No Shows

Life happens, you might miss or be late to a session. An email or text whenever you can find time is appreciated. I will wait 15 minutes then cancel; you can reschedule.

The emergency no-show is understood, persistent occurrences may be charged as a regular session.

If you are late, and I have time, we can extend to give you the full hour, otherwise sessions end at their scheduled time.

Use of AI

I use an AI note taking app in our sessions. It helps me to provide the most effective feedback afterward.

While the tool does transcribe the conversation, I do not save or store those transcripts. I only store the resulting notes.

You can ask me to not use this tool, if that makes you more comfortable.

Results

I will work with you to accomplish your objectives, but since you control every element of the execution, I can’t guarantee any result.

If you are unsatisfied at any time, you may cancel future sessions, and a refund of any remaining unused pre-paid sessions will be issued.

Payment

Payment for sessions at the pre-paid discount rate is required to be received 24 hours prior to the session. Payment for sessions at full price is required within 30 days of the invoice.

Future sessions can be canceled if payment is not received. Prices are subject to change without prior notice, but all pre-paid sessions are honored at their purchase price.

Though I’m available seven days a week, I block all contact between 10p and 6a Pacific time.

Acceptance

By purchasing sessions, you indicate acceptance of these terms.

If you do not accept these terms, notify me immediately and I will refund any unused sessions.
